THE ROYAL WEDDING SAGA

when Prince William of Wales decided to take Kate Middleton as his lawful wedded wife,The world stood still. Many hearts were broken,some were eventually mended while others were still hoping for a last minute break up to occur.It was indeed a dream that was becoming a reality and the world watched with rapt attention and of course envy for the average class girl who didnt have so much endowments (according to my colleague o!).
This simple lass from Lorkshire had experienced a topsy-turvy in her relationship as there were challenges that even led to a breakup at some point .We may never get to hear about them but as they patched it up and finally took the bold step to spend the rest of their lives together forever,It became everyones business as Tv stations created shows dedicated to the wedding and all sorts of accounts on social networks were open to update the public on the proceedings of the behind-the scenes of the wedding ceremony.Relationships all over the world began to have hiccups as girls began to wonder if kate milddleton had a better head than theirs,If she was more endowed or beautiful.
Guys started having a major problem of pleasing their gal friends as they just weren't content and happy. One of my male friends who is from a royal family in Nigeria had expressed his iritation at the way Nigerian and Africans in diaspora had made a big deal of the royals and how annoying it was becoming.He added that Nigerians didnt even respect the Royal families back home and they would do anything just to be a part of Williams. As he expressed his dissatisfaction over the whole royal wedding media frenzy,I laughed and asked who knew about his family outside his state,talk less of Nigeria. He ignored me and changed the subject.
I also came across another male friend of mine who was fuming because according to him,his girlfriend out of the clear blue started demanding to know how many prominent people he knew round the world,how influential his family was..blablabla...I laughed hysterically as i saw the look of disgust on his face; that told me to back off before I fuel an emotion that would not sit well with me. so I did Back Off!!

The royal wedding no doubt put a lot relationships in jeopardy as girls wanted a Kate Middleton kind of ceremony but didn't realise it until that fateful bright morning of april 29 as the wedding proceedings was going on.
Bose, my Ex school class mate even went as far as asking God to send her Harry since William was taken.
I adviced her to ask for the Royals here in Nigeria cause Harry was already in the prayer list of a million foreigners.She refused blantantly  and assured me that she had her mum's backing and as a matter of fact her Mum had also joined her to ask God to direct Harry her way.I was even more amused..Even parents had such prayers and wishes?! I questioned my inner other..
As the wedding finally came to a halt, everyone jolted back to reality.It dawned on me  that not everyone can handle the ceremony and sacrifices that  come with being a royal.And being with someone shouldnt be all about his family background,wealth and fame.It should be love,compatibility and most importantly being the right one ordained by God for you.
However,just yesterday I stumbled on a story on the Moment Newspaper(pg6) on a beautiful couple who look every bit happy and a Royal in their own right.They looked so happy and their picture oozed companionship,joy,class and every thing you can think of but I was shocked to the word itself when I dug into their story and found out that the groom is deaf and the bride is dumb..
Goodness!there is still love lurking around.Regardless of abilities,inabilities,age,class,color..

So ladies,when next the world makes an issue of another wedding and you are beginning to act funny. Slow down! your man might not be as popular or as bucksed as those on your TV screens but he is one in a million. He's got great attributes to die for and that's why you are with him.
He'll never be William but he'll always be YOUR PRINCE CHARMING..
